I have many eggs on face because I wrote your B’day down as on the 8th then saw that Michael had said the 7th.
Anyway we’ve covered a lot of territory since you reported in to me as a brand new 2d Lieutenant–From Harvard of all places!!
–and turning out to be best Lt in H company–the Honor Comany and as Iv’e said to many who have asked me about “the most dangerous man in America,
I’ve responded “He was not only the best officer I had in my company back in 1955–He is one of the most courageous men In America,

J.D. Hines October 21, 2010 at 1:08 am: I fear for this young soldier. It isn’t clear to me that he acted with the same maturity and judgment of Daniel Ellsberg. He may be prosecutable, and he’s so young. But his courage and idealism appear to be true and very American.
